« I know I haven’t much longer to live », he said, « but before I go away I have to confess to you that during our years in business together, I have swindled you out of thousands of pounds. Will you forgive me ? »
« That’s all right », said the other cheerfully. « Don’t let it worry you. I poisoned you ».
